2. What this website is

Sound (sound.nocturne-standards.org) is a product information and demonstration site for regulated credit on Dusk, operated by Nocturne Standards. It may show a canned in-browser showcase and/or a read-only live pilot board that displays simulated market activity on a public test network. It is not a production lending application for end customers, and it does not ask you to create an account or connect a wallet.

3. Hosting and server log files

Frontend. This website (sound.nocturne-standards.org) is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, and Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Rosental 7, 80331 Munich, Germany. The hostname is proxied through Cloudflare.

Whenever you visit this site, the hosting provider automatically processes information that your browser transmits, in particular IP address, date and time of the request, the file or URL requested, amount of data transferred and status code, browser type and version, operating system, and referrer URL. This data is processed solely to ensure reliable, secure delivery of the website and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We use Cloudflare's Free plan without Logpush configured, so we do not receive or store raw request logs ourselves. Cloudflare's own retention is governed by its privacy policy, not by a period we set.

Because Cloudflare, Inc. is a US company, your data may be processed outside the EU/EEA. This transfer relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and/or Cloudflare's EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification, where applicable. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Data Processing Addendum.

Bot Fight Mode may place a __cf_bm cookie (and cf_clearance if you pass a challenge). Both are strictly necessary for defending the site against automated abuse, so no consent banner is required. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Live simulation API. When the live board or story views are enabled, the pages fetch read-only market snapshots from sound-api.nocturne-standards.org. That hostname runs on a server we operate (DNS-only at Cloudflare, not proxied, so Cloudflare does not see this traffic). Every request is logged by nginx on that server, recording IP address, timestamp, requested path, status code, and browser user-agent string. These logs are used solely to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the API, under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are rotated daily and kept for 14 days in compressed form, after which they are deleted (via the server's /etc/logrotate.d/nginx configuration).

4. Fonts

This website uses the Literata and Sora typefaces. The font files are served from our own server; no connection is made to third-party font services (e.g. Google Fonts).

5. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use tracking and does not embed analytics or advertising services. The only cookies ever set here are the Cloudflare security cookies in §3.

6. Showcase and live simulation data

Canned showcase. Where Sound shows an illustrative journey in the browser, that mode runs in your browser. We do not receive identity, valuation, lending, or unwind data that you type into that showcase. Values stay in local browser memory unless you copy them elsewhere.

Live simulation board. Where Sound shows a live board or activity story, the page loads aggregated, read-only data from sound-api.nocturne-standards.org (soak ticks and indexed on-chain events). The participants shown are named simulation accounts that we operate to showcase Sound’s capabilities on a public DuskEVM test network (chain id 745). They are not end-user or customer accounts. The board does not display names, emails, KYC documents, or other direct identifiers of natural persons. What it does show includes public blockchain addresses, transaction references, market metrics, and related event summaries that are already visible on the public test network and its block explorer.

Visiting the live board causes your browser to request that API (and thus creates the server log entries described in §3). You do not need an account. We do not use the live board to profile you or to make decisions about you.

This website links to external resources, including documentation, nocturne-standards.org, GitHub, and the public DuskEVM testnet block explorer. Following such a link takes you away from this website; the privacy practices of the respective provider apply there.
